In the early part of 2003 a home where musicians, artists, and producers could come together to express themselves to the world was created. Limestone Recordings was founded, a label composed of such artists as Rick Preston, Community Recordings, Ill Subliminal, Club Dub, Deep House Souldiers, Matthew Bandy, Joel Jackson and more to be announced.
Based out of nowhere in particular, the music and art they create build a home that encompasses their influences from all over the world. Limestone is deeply rooted in jazz, soul, and dub, while based on the foundation of house. Our focus is to create timeless music and art with concept and soul. Working with live bands, musicians, vocalists, live electronic acts, and producers that have put their hearts into their work, the label dedicates itself to the quality of its sound and art.
